More details have emerged after a man was killed in a horror collision between a truck and car on the Bruce Highway in the early hours of Sunday.
The crash happened about 1.07am near Chapman’s Rd, Bauple with motorists urged to avoid the area on New Year’s Day.

The Queensland Police Service said in a statement the car and truck collided, with the truck soon catching fire.
The man driving the car suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
On Monday, a police spokesman said the man had been identified as a 40-year-old North Lakes man.
A 48-year-old Carina Heights truck driver was injured and taken to Hervey Bay Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision to come forward.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
Traffic diversions had to be put in place following the crash.
