Cuttings Wine Co’s David Boneis one of five wholesalers involved in the event and he will be showcasing at least five different rosés, saying it’s a great opportunity for people to learn more about the terracotta-tinted drop, which is growing 150 per cent year-on-year Down Under.

“We’ve brought in styles that are quite unique or interesting” Bone says. “There’ll be lots of difference in terms of styles and colours and that’s sort of the point of the event is explaining the depth and breadth of rosé.”

Included in his line-up is a Jericho rosé Alto! Alto! rosso and the Australian debut of Integrale’s Italian sparkling pet-nat rosé.

Paired with the wine at the event will be a series of food stations from Cuisine on Cue showcasing charcuterie, pork rillettes, salmon brandade, Australian and French cheeses, and prawns on brioche.

But the star attraction at the entirely pink-themed party at The Old Museum in Bowen Hills will be a 3m dessert station replete with pastel sweets including eclairs, macarons, meringues filled with raspberry cream, melting moments, cupcakes and black forest tarts.

“The theme is pink so everything will be pretty,” says Cuisine on Cue’s Anna Morrow.

Rosé Revolution will also be raising money for charity The Hunger Project, which aims to end world hunger by 2030, with a series of auctions throughout the day featuring prizes such as wine parcels and catering packages.

Tickets go on sale October 9, with both a general admission and VIP package available.
