Restaurants serving Brisbane’s best bargain meals for Dine BNE City campaign

From sushi and steak over six stages, to a 10-course Italian feast, some of Brisbane’s best restaurants are embracing the Dine BNE City campaign and offering degustation dinners at huge discounts.

From six-course sushi and steak dinners to 10-course Italian feasts, some of Brisbane’s best restaurants are serving up degustation dinners at hugely discounted prices.

While multi-course menus would normally set patrons back a pretty penny, the keenly priced feasts are being rolled out as part of the Dine BNE City campaign, designed to encourage more diners into the CBD to help eateries bounce back after COVID closures.

Japanese-themed Boom Boom Room Izakaya is taking part in the initiative, offering an impressive six courses for just $60 including seafood, steak and dessert.

Head chef Zac Sykes said the degustation was a showcase of the restaurant’s very best, featuring dishes not usually found on the main menu and hard-to-find ingredients.

“Degustation style dining is a really good way to see and taste a good variety of high quality speciality produce,” he said.

“A carefully curated variety of flavours and textures combined with beverages to match ensures we are able to create the ultimate dining experience for our guests.”

Also taking part in the campaign is river-facing Italian Persone, which is offering 10 courses for just $89, Chinese restaurant Brisbane Phoenix, which has a nine-course banquet for only $80, and coveted Japanese eatery Sake which has eight courses for $99.

There is also a variety of three, four and five-course dinners available for as little as $59.

“The Dine BNE initiative will create a great opportunity for people to come and experience the restaurant and try some new things they would not have perhaps ordered … (and) it enables us to create fun and exciting dining options that remove the guesswork out of choosing what to eat or drink,” Mr Sykes said.

The offers are available until May 30. See bnecity.com.au for all the details.
