Dining out in Queensland is set to get even more exciting from today with a new campaign serving up discount deals and exclusive food events.

American Express delicious. Month Out will run from May 1-31, marking the first time the interstate program has been held in the Sunshine State.

“Queensland has such a vibrant food scene, which has really exploded in the past few years, so we’ve been working hard with some of the state’s top restaurants to pull together an array of great dining offers and opportunities,” said delicious. editor Sam Jones.

Deals include everything from free plates of oysters and sake at Maleny’s acclaimed The Tamarind to discount cheese and wine boards at popular riverside restaurants.

Recently opened French bistro Bisou Bisou at the new Hotel X in Fortitude Valley will be hosting the ultimate brunch on May 22 as part of AEDMO.

The glam event will feature a two-course menu alongside an unlimited Calabria Family Wines package, live entertainment and a giftbag.

“This event is all about putting the fun back into brunch so we want guests to grab their girlfriends or their partners and start their weekend off the right way with bottomless mimosas and a decadent feast,” Grace Likidis from the Ghanem Group behind Bisou Bisou.

Ms Jones said the campaign was a great way of helping the local hospitality industry, which had been hugely disrupted by COVID-19.

“It’s no news that our hospitality industry has been hit incredibly hard in the past 12 months, so this is our way of encouraging diners to get back out and support their local restaurants and cafes,” she said.
