Cakery and bakery Brooki Bakehouse to open in Brisbane

A new cakery and bakery is set to open in Fortitude Valley offering more than 60 flavours of dessert.

Serving everything from cookie dough and cotton candy cakes to Biscoff and Black Forest cookies, a new dessert emporium is set to open in Fortitude Valley next month.

The work of Aussie travel blogger-turned-dessert queen Brooke Saward, Brooki Bakehouse will move into the recently renovated Stewart & Hemmant building on Marshall St.

It will be a sister venue to her Tasmanisan sweets business Charlie’s Dessert House in Launceston and will offer cakes, cupcakes, macarons, brownies, cookies, cheesecakes and “brookies” – a cookie and brownie hybrid.

But these won’t be just any sugar-filled bites, setting them apart from the competition will be the enormous range of flavours with more than 60 available from classics, such as chocolate, red velvet and pistachio, to those completely out of the ordinary – think vanilla Coke macarons, earl grey cupcakes and Nutella Bueno cookies.

Custom celebration cakes and event catering will be a specialty of the business, with most customers expected to grab and go.

However, limited seating will also be available for those who want to enjoy their sweet treat in-house with a cup of the venue’s Archer beans coffee, traditional Belgian hot chocolate or match latte.

Brooki Bakehouse will open on May 21 and will be giving away free coffee on the day to celebrate.
