FORGET cash, a new ATM is launching in Brisbane dispensing cake.
The “Cupcake ATM” is the quirky creation of Queensland online dessert business The Mason Baker, and is the first of its kind in Australia, selling sweet sponges in a jar.

Operating like a touchscreen vending machine, the ATM will become operational this Friday at the new Kickons Bar on Warner St in Fortitude Valley.
“This is our first cupcake ATM and we’ve worked closely with Worldwide Vending to create this innovative and contactless new way to get your hands on our desserts,” said The Mason Baker’s James Willis.
The machine will sell a variety of cakes in flavours such as Salted Caramel, Chocolate Ganache and Strawberries and Cream, which are served in a jar so they stay fresher for longer.
The Mason Baker’s ATM will be operating throughout February on Thursday, Friday and
Saturday nights from 5pm at Kickons, with Mr Willis looking to add additional locations if the idea is well received.
