4. LONGTIME

610 Ann St, Fortitude Valley

The cheeky blurb on this restaurant’s website purports to have taken classic southeast Asian cuisine and “ignited it in an alleyway in Fortitude Valley”. Their yoghurt and tamarind mousse with lychee cloud is certainly a very Thai dessert. For those without the hunger for a fully fledged feast, there are a number of bar snacks, including a soft shell crab bao for $6 each. NOTE: Longtime has shut its doors and reopened as Same Same at a new location at 46 James St, Fortitude Valley.
