Super cell fury ‘worst hail storm in six years’

Yesterday’s wild weather was the worst hail storm seen since 2014, according to RACQ. Nine severe fronts caused chaos as 14cm hail fell and more than 50,000 homes and businesses lost power. There were 15,000 still without power on Sunday. SEE PICS, VIDEO, WORST-HIT AREAS

333 rejected at border as traffic eases

Police have revealed more than 300 have been turned away from the Queensland border after it opened, with more than half who crossed not in possession of the correct paperwork leading to massive delays.

Boy, 16, stabbed in Queen St mall

A 16-year-old boy has suffered a collapsed lung and will undergo surgery after being stabbed in Brisbane’s Queen St Mall overnight. Blood could still be seen on the ground and shop walls this morning. A second assault in the mall happened just hours later.
