Fortitude Valley truck rollover sparks story bridge delays

Brisbane commuters have faced long delays after a truck rolled and spilled its load close to a major intersection beside the Story Bridge.

Traffic has finally eased hours after a truck rollover during peak hour traffic in the Brisbane CBD.

Southbound commuters experienced frustrating delays to cross the Story Bridge after a truck carrying debris rolled in Fortitude Valley this morning.

Emergency services were called to the truck rollover on Kemp Place in Fortitude Valley at 6.45am.

Traffic response units and police are still on scene for the clean-up, with access to the Story Bridge southbound only available from Ann and Brunswick Streets.

A detour is in place for those heading out of the city or from the northside .

The truck driver is in a stable condition and is being assessed by paramedics.
