Robin Bailey reveals identify of new BF

Radio host Robin Bailey has hard-launched her new boyfriend live on air, pranking her co-star in the process.

After months of secrecy, KISS97.3 breakfast star Robin Bailey has revealed the identity of her new boyfriend, nicknamed ‘Waffles”, with a prank on co-host Kip Wightman who had yet to meet the mystery man.

Disguised as ‘John from Shingle Inn’, Bailey snuck her boyfriend into the studio before pashing him in front of her co-star.

“They’ve just started kissing,” a shocked Wightman said.

“Oh my, is that Waffles? Far out, you got me good; you got me good.”

Bailey then announced her partner as Olivier, who introduced himself to Wightman and the rest of the team.

“I just spent no time looking at him at all because I was so terrified, I was going to give it away,” she said.

“I think that my accent would really give me up,” Olivier said.

After the show, Bailey said the reveal felt right.

“It’s been four months and it’s serious so I wanted Kip to meet him as it felt wrong him not knowing about that part of my life,” she said.

The radio star said she knew Wightman would fall for their trick.

“Kip, god love him, is kinda clueless, so pranking him was so easy,” she said.

“Weird to pash your boyfriend on air while everyone was watching.”

Before leaving the studio, Olivier shut down Wightman’s request to continue using the nickname.

“Am I cool to still call you Waffles?,” Wightman asked.

“No,” Olivier replied.

Bailey and beau Olivier have shared a whirlwind romance meeting for the first time four months ago and heading on an idyllic island holiday to New Caledonia last month.

“It’s propelled our relationship from like three months to about like a year in,” Bailey previously said.
