In an unexpected on-air confession, Brisbane radio host Robin Bailey has shared heartfelt details about her new relationship, hinting at love.

Brisbane’s KIIS973 breakfast radio host Robin Bailey has revealed that she has a new beau.

Her co-host, Kip Wightman, managed to coax Bailey live on-air into sharing details about her new boyfriend during their show on January 30.

During the segment, Wightman playfully confronted Bailey with observations from her Instagram.

“I noticed something on your Instagram – a series of photos … It is so clearly a date night,” he said.

This observation set the stage for an exchange that peeled back layers of Bailey’s personal life.

Despite Bailey’s initial reluctance — “Oh, I don’t want to tell you … because it could be really special and I don’t want you to ruin it” — Wightman’s gentle prodding revealed more than just a casual relationship.

“I met this one particular person and something shifted instantly. And what I will say is that when you know, you know, and I’m pretty sure I know,” Bailey said.

The discussion took a deeper dive when Wightman mentioned Bailey’s unusual gym visit on the Sunshine Coast, hinting at a romantic getaway.

“Someone’s had a sleepover,” Wightman said jokingly.

Pressed further about whether she is in love, Bailey admitted, “The conflict within me is that I am really honest. And I don’t lie very well. And I don’t want to lie to you. But yeah, I think so,” indicating the seriousness of her feelings.

The new mystery man, who resides on the Sunshine Coast and is not Australian, stands out as someone significantly different from anyone Bailey has been with before.

“He’s amazing … very different from any other person I’ve ever been with,” Bailey shared, noting his exceptional physical fitness and competitive edge in sports.

Despite the joy of new beginnings, Bailey’s three sons, Finn, 23, Lewin, 21, and Piper, 18, have yet to meet the man who has captured their mother’s heart, a detail Bailey shared with an understanding of her sons’ discomfort with their mother’s dating life.

“My boys are very weird about it, because they don’t want to know who their mother is dating. They don’t want to know. Because they’re boys and that’s weird,” she said.

Bailey’s acknowledgment of this new relationship signifies a fresh chapter for the radio star, following the loss of her first husband, Tony Smart, to suicide in 2014 and her second partner, Sean Pickwell, to liver cancer.
