If ever there was a year to spend Christmas lunch at the table with your favourite people instead of being stuck in the kitchen, it's 2021. So, if I had my way – which I never do because I come from a family of opinionated foodies – this is the Christmas menu I'd offer. Almost entirely make-ahead, whether optional or by necessity, this is a spread to impress. Trifle aside, all the dishes are what I call "low effort, high pay-off recipes". As for the trifle?
