The Cooks Larder
There's something about walking around in a sea breeze that makes for wicked hunger. The Cooks Larder, with its twinkling fairy lights adorning the ceiling and blooming marigolds marking the entrance, is just the spot to satisfy. The Single Origin Roasters cappuccino ($3.50) off the new San Marco (with naked portafilters for a more intense brew) is pleasantly smooth with a chocolatey after-taste. Samantha and Dugal Mackie use free-range and biodynamic produce, Brasserie organic breads and permeate-free milk, and their house-made pates, terrines, jams and marmies are divine (and can be taken home).
