Bangbang
British
A tweet about muffins is the only cue arty types need before piling into this funky retro cafe on a terrace-lined street. Weekend brunch hour sings with smooth service and an offering of beer and cider. British flair is what you get here, with the likes of English and Scottish breakfasts along with Welsh rarebit of toasted sourdough crowned with grilled cheese and Worcestershire sauce. The posh fish finger sarnie for lunch is a cut above. Both the chicken burger and pork sausage are sourced free range, but you still get more 'bang'-for-your-buck here than up the hill towards Crown Street.
