It's tough juggling a career as a TV chef with life in the restaurant kitchen. My Restaurant Rules host Manu Feildel and his business partners have listed their Paddington restaurant L'etoile for sale.

Ronaldo Van Roy from Bossini Brokers confirmed a $375,000 asking price for the Glenmore Road eatery.

Feildel has pruned back his restaurant portfolio in recent times. Eighteen months ago he offloaded Aperitif, the Kellett Street eatery.

The television host blamed the decision to sell Aperitif, which he co-owned with fellow TV chef Miguel Maestre, on the changing nature of the neighbourhood. Feildel argued Kings Cross visitors wanted to drink, not dine.

One of Feildel's two business partners at L'etoile, Michele Guai, says they aren't withdrawing from the restaurant business, indeed there are plans for a new venture once L'etoile is sold.

"We'd like to do something French, but with a twist," Guai says.

The venture won't necessarily be in Sydney, with interstate and international sites on the radar. A food line has also been discussed.
