DOPA is a Japanese version of the Aussie milk bar from the Devon Cafe crew
You're not alone if you're finding it difficult keeping up with all the venues popping up around the former Sydney Entertainment Centre site in Haymarket.
Maker's Dozen has opened its doors, and a new venue from Golden Century, XOPP, will follow later this month.
There's also a straggler to the party, the crew from Devon opening DOPA Don and Milk Bar.
The 70-seat eatery is all pastels, banquettes and timber.
Surely breakfast is just the ticket for any self-respecting food party, and DOPA is hitting the morning traffic with Japanese breakfasts.
We're loving its take on the milk bar, with a Strawberry Fields shake, kakigori shaved ice desserts and giant matcha cookies.
Sydneysiders don't live on sweet treats alone, so save some room for the 20 varieties of Japanese donburi (rice bowl dish).
Open daily 11am-late.
