Hipkins hopes for ‘Keating-style’ win at NZ election

Auckland | New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins said he is hoping for a Keating-esque victory at this weekend’s election, despite polls predicting his once wildly popular Labour Party will be swept from power over a cost of living crisis.
The prime minister, who took over from Jacinda Ardern in January after her shock resignation, said he believes his political opponents are beginning to waver in the final week of campaigning.
