The sun appeared to set on the nearly four-decade career of Winston Peters at the Duke of Marlborough Hotel on Russell on Saturday night, as his NZ First party secured less than 3 per cent of the vote in a New Zealand election that delivered Jacinda Ardern a landslide victory.
