Donald Trump's increasingly absurdist attempt to overthrow the 2020 election result hit a brick wall of Supreme Court contempt over the weekend ahead of the final Electoral College vote that will declare Joe Biden the country's next president.
As the losing President continued to lash out at his perceived internal enemies – including Attorney-General William Barr, who may be sacked in coming days and week, according to reports – the Supreme Court refused to take up a Texas lawsuit calling for the rejection of 20 million votes across four states that voted for Mr Biden.
