Washington | Donald Trump told America’s top executives on Thursday (Friday AEST) he would slash taxes and regulations if elected, as he stepped up efforts to secure support from big business for his economic agenda five months from the presidential poll.
The presumptive Republican nominee made his pitch at a closed-door Business Roundtable event in Washington attended by about 80 corporate leaders including JPMorgan Chase’s Jamie Dimon, Citigroup’s Jane Fraser and Apple’s Tim Cook.
