Trump weighs delaying 2024 decision as FBI probe dominates

Washington | Donald Trump is likely to hold off announcing a tilt at the 2024 presidential election until after the US midterms, as he battles a Department of Justice investigation into his handling of classified documents seized from his home that has dominated headlines.

The department on Tuesday (Wednesday AEST) said it had evidence that classified government records were “likely concealed” from the FBI when it tried to retrieve them from Mr Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home earlier this year, prompting its unprecedented search of his estate in August.
