Obamas ignite Harris campaign but warn of tight race
Chicago | Former president and first lady Barack and Michelle Obama electrified Vice President Kamala Harris’ race to the White House with impassioned speeches at the Democratic National Convention in which they also warned of a tight race against Donald Trump in a divided country.
Mr Obama, who was instrumental in replacing President Joe Biden with Ms Harris on the top of the Democrat ticket, told a roaring crowd on Tuesday night (Wednesday AEST) that the vice president would not be a self-centred leader like Trump, but focus on improving Americans’ lives.
