Former Labor treasurer and prime minister Paul Keating says 81-year-old US President Joe Biden is too old to run for a second term but that, even worse, he has become a strategic neo-conservative who seeks to contain the rise of China.

And Mr Keating said the Democratic Party’s political problem heading into November’s presidential election was that it had lost touch with the concerns of ordinary working Americans.
