Los Angeles | Hollywood actors reached an agreement with major studios on Wednesday (Thursday AEDT) to resolve a long-running strike that rocked the entertainment industry this year, as workers demanded higher pay in the streaming TV era.
The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), the union representing tens of thousands of actors, reached a tentative deal for a new contract with entertainment companies, clearing the way for the $US134 billion ($209 billion) American movie and television business to swing back into motion.
