Julian Assange’s family urged the Albanese government to “seize the moment” and step up lobbying efforts to bring the WikiLeaks founder home after US President Joe Biden said he was considering dropping charges against him.

Mr Biden said he was weighing up Canberra’s request to end the prosecution against Mr Assange after he released troves of confidential US classified documents.
