‘Finish the job’: Biden announces 2024 re-election bid

Washington DC | President Joe Biden formally announced he will run for re-election in 2024, with only a slightly higher approval rating at this point in his presidency than Donald Trump had with his at the same time.
Mr Biden, who would be 86 at the end of a second term, faces a smooth path to winning his party’s nomination, with no serious Democratic rivals, but will likely take on Republican Trump in a rematch of the 2020 election.
