Tel Aviv | Israeli troops killed at least 85 Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip on Sunday (Monday AEST), local health authorities said, after large and desperate crowds mobbed one of the United Nations convoys carrying a trickle of aid into the mostly besieged enclave.
The carnage was the deadliest day yet for aid-seekers in more than 21 months of war, and occurred in devastated northern Gaza, where living conditions are especially dire.
