Washington | Donald Trump said Israel and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire, that he said would end more than a week of conflict between the two sworn enemies that threatened to engulf the US in another Middle Eastern war.
Trump said on Monday (Tuesday AEST) that Israel and Iran have decided the ceasefire will be phased in over 24 hours. The announcement comes after a day in which Tehran launched missiles against America’s biggest air base in the Middle East in return for Trump’s strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities at the weekend.
