London | US President Joe Biden has urged Israel to steer clear of Iran’s oilfields in an expected retaliatory strike, a day after sending the price of oil surging by telling reporters those assets were a target.
“If I were in their shoes, I’d be thinking about other alternatives than striking oil fields,” he said on Friday (Saturday AEST), while also calling on Israel to be “very much more careful” about inflicting civilian casualties.
