London | Eastern Europe may seem geopolitically remote from Australia, but Poland has a warning for Canberra: authoritarian regimes’ hybrid-warfare tactics, including weaponising illegal migrants, could happen elsewhere – and eventually surely will.
“Belarus is using migrants as a tool to threaten Europe, to destabilise Europe,” Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Pawel Jablonski told The Australian Financial Review. “This will definitely be used again, in many places in the world.”
