Labour set for landslide win as UK votes
London | Britons began voting on Thursday at their national election, with polls suggesting they could hand Labour leader Keir Starmer a landslide victory against the 14-year-old Conservative government led by embattled Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Polling stations opened across Britain at 7am (4pm AEST), with voters expected to severely punish Mr Sunak’s government, against a backdrop of economic malaise, mounting distrust of government institutions and a fraying social fabric.
