Britain’s first black party leader is an anti-woke warrior

London | Britain’s Conservative Party was feted at the weekend for electing a black woman, Kemi Badenoch, as its leader. But there’s a twist: she is a vehement opponent of identity politics.
The Labour prime minister, Keir Starmer, congratulated his new opponent on being “the first black leader of a Westminster party”, calling it “a proud moment for our country”.
