Beijing | China has formally arrested on state secrets charges two Canadians detained last year, the latest friction with Ottawa after the December arrest of Huawei's CFO at Vancouver airport.
Businessman Michael Spavor, who worked with North Korea, and former diplomat Michael Kovrig were picked up separately in December, shortly after Canada followed up a request from Washington and detained Huawei chief financial officer Meng Wanzhou, who now faces extradition to the United States.
