Putin vows trade, security with North Korea

Seoul | Vladimir Putin promised to build trade and security systems with North Korea that are not controlled by the West as he headed to Pyongyang on Tuesday for the first time in 24 years, seeking partners to boost his country’s military in its war against Ukraine.
Mr Putin pledged his unwavering support in a letter published by North Korean state media on Tuesday ahead of his planned visit to the country.
