Optimists about China bouncing back are just hoping

The problem is that China isn’t just another member of the global community and bad economic policy is not punished at the ballot box.

Only those investors talking their book and others captured by the need for access to China will say they are optimistic about a strong sustainable future for that country. For some it appears to be a belief. For others, it is merely a hope that things will come good at some future date.

But how can that be?
