Bali | Friends and family of Sean Turnell are waiting anxiously for the economist to arrive in Australia after his release from a Myanmar jail as part of an amnesty by the ruling military junta.
Myanmar media reported Professor Turnell had been released on Thursday, along with former UK ambassador Vicky Bowman and her husband, plus two other foreigners: Japanese filmmaker Toru Kubota and American botanist Kyaw Htay Oo.
