China’s stimulus blitz ‘very very good’ for Australia: Chalmers
Tokyo | Treasurer Jim Chalmers says China’s economic stimulus measures unveiled this week to revive its soft economy will be very good for Australian exporters, even as he warned iron ore prices remained under pressure.
On the first visit to Beijing by a federal treasurer in seven years, Dr Chalmers also ruled out following the United States in imposing tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, such as BYD, which have become increasingly popular with Australian drivers.
