Tokyo | China’s government has slammed the Trump’s administration’s new ban on Chinese tech giant Huawei’s advanced computer chips that threatens to reignite tensions between the two nations following a temporary truce in the trade war struck in Geneva.
The US Commerce Department issued guidance this week that Huawei’s Ascend AI semiconductors are subject to export controls anywhere in the world on the basis that they were developed using American technology.
