Ottawa | Ten thousand Uighurs may soon be able to live in Canada after Parliament voted unanimously in favour of a motion to allow the resettlement of the persecuted Muslim minority from China.
Legislators the House of Commons voted in favour on Wednesday (Thursday AEDT) of the proposal 322-0, with the chamber erupting into applause as the motion was carried.
