Employers that publicly backed an Indigenous Voice to parliament expect staff to get more involved in the push for reconciliation after Saturday’s referendum, regardless of the vote’s outcome.

Not-for-profit organisation Reconciliation Australia says the Voice debate has already led to a surge in corporate interest for reconciliation: over the past 12 months alone, the number of organisations with reconciliation action plans increased by 39 per cent to 2945.
