aura Empson is a former investment banker and strategy consultant who became an academic. She has conducted academic research into professional organisations for more than 25 years and is now professor in the management of professional service firms at Cass Business School, London, director of the Cass Centre for Professional Service Firms and senior research fellow at Harvard Law School’s Centre on the Legal Profession.
