A major power supplier and a key residential developer have joined a rush for orders to suspend crippling union work bans that are delaying critical projects across Sydney and NSW.

Snowy Hydro has sought an urgent suspension of the Electrical Trades Union’s protected action at energy distributor Ausgrid that has stopped it from connecting its $950 million gas power station and threatened power supply for the state before the peak summer period.
