Lift the minimum wage and help to close the poverty gap
Almost five million Australians live at or below the poverty line. Even a 4.9 per cent rise would go some way to help those in insecure work.

The submission by the Australian Catholic Council for Employment Relations, on behalf of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference, to the Fair Work Commission’s annual wage review makes an appeal for a 4.9 per cent rise in 2024.
