Contractor winning Qld projects denies link to $53m tax bill

A formwork business winning work on Queensland’s biggest taxpayer-funded projects has denied any connection to a string of companies that collapsed owing more than $53 million in taxes and a director who is permanently banned from the industry.

Tier-one builder John Holland is engaging Heinrich Constructions Australia on four of its Queensland projects, including the state government’s $500 million expansion of Logan Hospital, its $1.3 billion Toowoomba Hospital project and Dexus’ $2.5 billion waterfront development in Brisbane.
