CFMEU law-breaker appointed to Queensland work health and safety board

A CFMEU official with a long record of breaking workplace laws and discriminating against non-union subcontractors was appointed by the Queensland Labor government to the Workplace Health and Safety board.

Kurt Pauls has been slapped with numerous fines and contraventions in recent years, including in March 2023 for his role in breaking right-of-entry laws on a state road construction site.
