Victoria to close down construction industry after wild protests

The Andrews government has shut down the construction industry for two weeks in response to violent protests outside CFMEU headquarters against vaccine mandates coming into effect this week.

The Master Builders Victoria, following high-level talks with state government ministers, advised employer members late on Monday night that all construction sites in locked-down metropolitan and regional areas will be shut from Tuesday.
