Airtasker may still be captured by the Albanese government’s broad gig economy laws, despite government assurances it would be excluded, as its tasks cross over with food delivery and the care economy.

Advertisements on Airtasker indicate that aged care and food delivery workers have specialist pages on the online marketplace and so could potentially face the same minimum conditions that could be imposed on workers using UberEats or carer app Mable.
