Carlton Football Club says it is co-operating with an AFL integrity unit investigation into a lewd photo posted on president Luke Sayers’ account on social media platform X, while Mr Sayers said he had engaged legal counsel to look into the matter.

The former chief executive of consulting giant PwC and co-founder of Sayers Group said the post made last Wednesday night was due to a hack. The post contained a picture of a penis and tagged the account of a female executive at health insurer Bupa, which is a sponsor of the Carlton football team.
