There is no push for mandatory diversity on ASX boards

There has been no recommendation requiring the release of personal information about directors and executives, despite the recent misunderstandings seen on this topic.

My role is chair of the independent ASX Corporate Governance Council, which comprises 19 organisational members representing a range of business, shareholder and industry groups to share insights and perspectives on governance issues.

Our primary role is to develop a principles-based document for ASX-listed entities. This is intended to promote investor confidence and to help listed entities meet stakeholder expectations concerning their governance.
