Fergus and Barry O’Neill, two farmers from the west coast of Ireland, have become leading players in the fast-growing roll-out of electricity transmission lines across Australia.

Their company, Catalpa Group, is working on lines linking the MacIntyre Windfarm Precinct to the Queensland electricity grid; on the Eyre Peninsula Link in South Australia; and on Australia’s largest electricity grid project, the 900 km interconnector – known as Project Energy Connect – between South Australia and NSW.
